Chelsea’s Champions League fate will be decided on Wednesday night when they take on Barcelona in the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Camp Nou.
The contest is evenly poised as the scoreline sits at 1-1, but the Spanish giants have a slight advantage as they nabbed an away goal at Stamford Bridge in the first leg.
Antonio Conte’s side more than held their own against the five-time European champions as Willian put the team ahead following two earlier attempts that rattled off the posts.
The West London outfit were unable to stop Lionel Messi, though, as the Argentine netted an equaliser in the 75th minute.
Wednesday’s fixture will be tougher for the Blues as they will be in Barcelona’s home, and a large number of fans think that Olivier Giroud should be given a chance ahead of Alvaro Morata.
Conte spoke to the media in his pre-match press conference, stating that his players will try their best to grab a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
For many supporters, though, they want more than that.
Conte says that Camp Nou is a fantastic stadium with a big pitch and every player wants to play this type of game. He adds we must be excited to play this game and we want to try to do our best.
