Tottenham Hotspur’s sensational winning run hit a little setback in their last Premier League tie when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Wembley by West Ham United. But the North London heavyweights were confident this afternoon when they hosted a struggling Everton side and determined to clinch a win in order to keep pushing for a ‘top four’ finish. Spurs were in full control and showed their supremacy in their Goodison meeting which ended in a 3-0 win for Mauricio Pochettino’s men earlier this campaign. They were expecting a better context this term but the Toffees surrendered miserably yet again to suffer a 4-0 defeat.

Had a quiet outing as the Toffees could not create enough goal-bound opportunities to trouble the Frenchman. A relatively easier clean-sheet for him.
Serge Aurier: 8
Was preferred over Kieran Trippier and made an impact with his forward runs, crosses and link-up play upfront. His pinpoint cross was headed home by Heung-Min Son to earn his side a first-half lead.
Davinson Sanchez: 7.5
The young Colombian has adjusted perfectly to new surroundings and is showing his defensive resilience in place of injured Toby Alderweireld. Sanchez holds a bright future and today’s performance was another instance why he is rated so highly.
