On his way out
The Monaco vice-president has opened up over several of the sides key players and hints that one Man City and Man United target will leave.
That player is Fabinho and was linked with moves to the Premier League and other top leagues over the summer transfer window.
That former full-back was melded into a central midfielder and was one of the clubs key players in the Champions League run last year.
Now, he remains at the club after the majority of his talented colleagues left Monaco for new pastures.
Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva left for Manchester City while Tiémoué Bakayoko and Kylian Mbappe left for Paris Saint Germain.
That has left the Monaco side slightly bare and a shadow of their impressive self-last season both domestically and in Europe.
Now, they could be set to lose more of their top talents in both the January and summer transfer windows with Fabinho likely to be one of them.
With Manchester City and arch-rivals Manchester United set to go head-t0-head for the player, it may well spark a bidding war for the Brazilian.
One thing is for sure though, it certainly seems likely that the player will leave after comments from the vice-president today.
“He’s a key player. But we realise at a certain moment it’s right to let players go,” he explained.
