For the fifth time, Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned the winner of the Ballon d’Or.
In what has been a remarkable year for the Portuguese captain, winning award after award, the 32-year-old has sealed it with the most prestigious honour in football.
Having won the award last year also, a consecutive triumph has seen him draw level with the tally of Lionel Messi.

From both an individual and team perspective, Ronaldo has undoubtedly outperformed Lionel Messi over the course of the year, proving a worthy winner.
In the space of just 12 months, from his last Ballon d’Or triumph, the Real Madrid forward has yet again reached unprecedented levels.
49 goals for club and country has seen him guide both Real Madrid and Portugal to glory, picking up multiple individual accolades in the process.
