Robert Durst didn’t know wife’s eye color in missing person form

In the 1982 missing person report Robert Durst filed with the NYPD about his wife Kathie, he didn’t even know her eye color.

In the document, attached to a lawsuit filed Thursday against the NYPD, Durst wrote, “Brown?” on the form.

Durst waited five days to file the report in January 1982. Kathie Durst’s body has never been recovered, and he remains a suspect.

Her family filed the lawsuit after the NYPD refused to release the case records of the decades-old investigation, claiming it was still open, according to the lawsuit filed by lawyer Robert Abrams.

Abrams argues the investigation was closed long ago, and therefore the records should be disclosed.

The case was the subject a widely viewed HBO documentary series, “The Jinx,” which detailed new evidence against Durst, 74.
