Newcastle United scouts are continuing to monitor Aaron Olanare according to reports on Thursday morning.
On Tuesday night, Newcastle United were represented at the Stadium of Light (the proper one – not the half empty copy
where Daryl Murphy scored the winner) watching Champions League action.
Benfica took on CSKA Moscow in the first group game and the visitors pulled off a shock 2-1 victory.
Aaron Olanare was one of CSKA Moscow’s top players on the night and the left footed attacking player impressed in his 67 minutes on the pitch, before being subbed.
As well as Newcastle, Tottenham are also said to be watching the 23 year old Nigerian international.
He previously played in Norway for Valerenga and in China with Guangzhou Evergrande, before a loan spell at CSKA Moscow and eventually joining the Russian club permanently in January 2017.
