A man has pleaded guilty to a string of motoring offences following a police chase in St Helens .
Danny Smith admitted dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a driving licence and driving with no insurance when he appeared before magistrates in Liverpool today.
The 20-year-old, of no fixed address, was arrested on Wednesday morning when the green Vauxhall Corsa he was driving down Rainford Road crashed into a grey Mercedes on North John Street.
The Corsa was badly damaged in the collision and could be seen with its bonnet ripped in half. The Mercedes driver was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The case was adjourned and Smith is due to be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on November 9.
