Latest transfer news LIVE: Breaking stories and rumours from Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and London's clubs

SHARE

London’s Premier League clubs are beginning to step up their efforts in the transfer market.

Chelsea are targeting up to six additions this summer, and are expected to announce their first signing of the summer on July 1.

Romelu Lukaku and Tiemoué Bakayoko are the leading targets for Antonio Conte, while the Blues have seen a £52million bid for Alex Sandro rejected.

Arsenal have secured the services of Sead Kolašinac, but have so far failed in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe. The Gunners failed with an informal £87million for the Monaco man, but could return with a package that includes Olivier Giroud as makeweight.

Tottenham must look to balance ambitions of silverware with their move to Wembley as they look to build a squad capable of competing in the Champions League, while West Ham and Crystal Palace must build to avoid another difficult start.

Arsenal have signed… a new fitness chief.

Arsenal have appointed Darren Burgess in a new head of high performance role created within manager Arsene Wenger’s backroom staff – but this lower-level role will be interpreted by many as a victory for the Gunners boss, who will retain control of Arsenal’s scouting and recruitment system with no director of football planned as of yet.

PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS

RONALDO REPERCUSSIONS
Such a huge deal would have serious knock-on effects throughout the transfer market, of course. Should United allow De Gea to move to Madrid as part of the Ronaldo deal, Jose Mourinho would need another goalkeeper – despite the impressive form of Sergio Romero.
Calciomercato reports that United could then move for AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma, who looks set to leave the Serie A club after rejecting a new contract. And that, dear friends, could well see Milan move for West Ham target Joe Hart (according to the Express), with the England No.1 goalkeeper unwanted at Man City.
A tangled web could become even more so by the start of the season…
PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS

£175M AND DE GEA?

That’s how much Manchester United are willing to part with in order to land Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Mirror. In the upside-down world of transfer news, that deal would theoretically make sense – but is such a deal really worth United losing one of the best goalkeepers in the world for?

Ronaldo is currently on international duty with Portugal, and the most likely outcome will be him signing a new deal to stay in Madrid. But if there’s even a slight possibility he’s available, United surely have to try…
