‘Proud’ James Tavernier Promises There’s More to Come After Signing New Gers Deal
The English defender has cemented himself as one of the club’s most consistent performers this season, with his lung-bursting runs down the right-flank a trademark of his game, which has seen him chalk up six goals so far this season.
The 26-year-old has been linked with several moves to the English Championship, including with Nottingham Forest, but he and the Ibrox club have put to bed any uncertainty with today’s news.
Tavernier took to Twitter this evening after putting pen-to-paper and he looked absolutely over the moon to deliver the news to his followers:
Delighted to have signed a new 3 and a half year contract with @RangersFC 🇬🇧 .. Another proud moment for me and my family 🙌🏽 The hard work still continues!! 👊🏽 Special thanks to @StormSportsX and @Johnbrannagan #UnfinishedBuisness pic.twitter.com/6OXxElg2kr

If he stays for the duration of his contract, he’ll be at Rangers until the summer of 2021, and not many would’ve thought that during Mark Warburton’s troubled final days in Glasgow.
