As reported by The Daily Record, Rangers duo Graham Dorrans and Lee Wallace are set to return to first team action after featuring for the club’s development side earlier this week.
What’s the story?
Dorrans has been out of action with an ankle injury since October of last year, yet to play a single match of the new Graeme Murty era at Ibrox. Wallace meanwhile has been out for even longer, not featuring for the side since 15th September against Partick Thistle.
As The Daily Record report though, both are on the verge of making a big comeback, with Rangers due to play Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday.
Dorrans completed 45 minutes against Brentford B, while Wallace managed a full 90, indicating both are getting back to fitness after their lengthy spells out.
How badly have they been missed?
Although Graham Dorrans has only been at the club for a short period, he showed in his initial appearances that he was a classy addition to the Gers’ midfield, scoring five goals and providing three assists in just 13 matches.
He’d definitely be a boost to Graeme Murty’s first team and with important league matches and a Scottish Cup semi-final to come, the sooner he’s available the better.
Wallace will find it harder to slot straight back into the first team after the emergence of attacking full-back Declan John but as club captain
