Dani Alves is still attracting the best teams in Europe despite being 34-years-old, which says a lot about his quality.
After falling out with the Barcelona board, the Brazilian left Barcelona in 2016 to join Juventus. His performances have continued to be rated among the best while his absence is yet to be filled at Barcelona.
Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is interested in reuniting with Dani Alves. And latest reports indicate he is in talks with Juve to cancel his final year with them.
However, it appears Alves’ move to Manchester City would set up a chain of events that would affect Barcelona.
Juventus turn to Hector Bellerin if Dani Alves leaves
Currently Juventus have Swiss defender Stephan Lichtsteiner to step in if Alves leaves. However, Lichtsteiner is 33-years-old, and Max Allegri is looking at a long term replacement for Alves.
And Juventus are keeping a close eye on Hector Bellerin as the player for the future.
The Spaniard has been a longtime target of Barcelona and an offer is expected soon. But with interest from the Old Lady, Barcelona have another problem to contend with bearing in mind Arsenal are already very reluctant to sell.
