Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have made contact with Shakhtar Donetsk ace Bernard, according to the reports from Brazil.
After several unconvinced campaigns with the Ukrainian side, Bernard has hit top form this season, though his current deal set to expire at the end of the current campaign and he might leave Shakhtar in winter.
He had been linked with a return to Brazil with Palmeiras have expressed interest in his signature. However, Brazilian website UOL Sport reported that hosts of Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on his situation with Shaktar.
England now looks like it could be his next destination, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all reaching out to the player’s camp according to a source close to Bernard.
Although the trio would prefer to sign Bernard for free in the summer, they could be forced to move for him in January if competition heats up.
However, with only a few months to run on his deal, Shakhtar are ready to sell the player as little as £11.5m that is a snip in today’s market.
The 25-year-old winger has long been linked with a switch to the English top tier since his transfer to Shakhtar back in 2013. With former Spurs, head-coach Andre Villas-Boas tried to sign him.
Interest dipped when his form tailed off, and he lost his place in the Brazil team, but he has scored three times in the league this season.
