The Chile international has been completely dropped for Arsenal’s clash with Bournemouth on Sunday as Arsene Wenger is now ready to cash in on the forward this month.
Manchester City had come close to signing Sanchez for £60 million in the summer and were favourites to complete a deal this month.
But according to the Sunday Mirror, United have blown City out of the water with their offer and are now favourites to sign Sanchez.
The report claims that United are willing to offer the Chilean a contract in the region of £400,000-a-week, which would make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
United are also ready to offer a £30 million transfer fee to Arsenal, which is £10m more than what City are prepared to pay and just £5m less than the Gunners’ valuation.
