As reported by The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is a wanted man this summer with the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona all interested in his services.
The paper say he could be available for a fee approaching £40m at the end of the season.
Given the ballooning fees in today’s market, that represents something of a bargain for elite clubs looking to improve their defensive lines ahead of next term.
Alderweireld is seen as one of the best defensive talents in English football, valued by Tottenham fans and helping them become a consistent top four force in the Premier League.
Man United have suffered defensive problems this season with the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones making high profile errors.
Is Alderweireld the man to partner Eric Bailly going forward?
Red Devils supporters certainly think so and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the potential signing…
