£25m Rated Celitc Star Linked With Summer Move To Everton – This Could Be Disastrous For Rodgers!

According to a report by Liverpool Echo, Celtic star striker Moussa Dembele could be on his way to Everton this summer as the Toffees search for attacking reinforcements in the wake of their main man, Romelu Lukaku at the center of kinds of transfer rumors.

The interest from Ronald Koeman’s side appears to be concrete as Celtic aim to keep hold of Dembele.

The 20 year old had a tremendous season in the Scottish Premiership as he helped Celtic win a domestic treble. Moreover, Celtic remained unbeaten in the league under Rodgers with Dembele’s performance earning him critical acclaim form people all over the world.

Having scored 32 goals in 42 matches for the Scottish side, Dembele has been successful in increasing his stock drastically.

Rodgers purchased him for a meagre £500,000 fees from Fulham last year but the striker has developed into a much better player in the course of just a single season.

Reports suggest that the bids will start coming in demanding the player in a few days. Rodgers will have his task cut out to keep the talented player as the European elite are circling for Dembele’s signature and it will be hard for the player to turn them down.

It is believed that Celtic will be willing to part away with the forward if the Toffees manage to submit a bid around the £25 million mark. Even though Brendan Rodgers has spoken of retaining all their players and not selling anybody, the right kind of money might just tilt the favor to Everton’s side.

But Rodgers would need to recruit some talent up front with the money received from this potential Dembele deal and with the Champions League money. There is absolutely no doubt that Celtic would miss the goal scoring prowess of Dembele if he decides to switch clubs.
